PENGU!N has been quietly building a world.
What started with a small penguin in enormous dark sunglasses getting on with everyday life has grown into something much bigger — short films, characters, storyboards, strange places and increasingly ambitious adventures.
Now, for the first time, we’re releasing a complete PENGU!N illustrated book.
PENGU!N — A Pixel Art Adventure is a 17-page journey through the character’s expanding universe, bringing together familiar friends, unexpected places and the rough-edged pixel-art style that has defined PENGU!N from the beginning.
There’s Box, Toby, Sugar, the futuristic City 2186, the mysterious Land Beyond Time, and, right in the middle of it all, one remarkably unflappable little penguin wearing a very large pair of sunglasses.
We’ve recently been showing some of the development work behind PENGU!N on Oilfuel — including an entire picture-book concept mapped out in one image and a cinematic fantasy storyboard that pushes his world far beyond home.
This book is another piece of that growing universe.
It isn’t the end of PENGU!N’s story.
It’s somewhere near the beginning.
